As the threats facing Israel continue to grow, Israel will need to develop new technologies, purchase more sophisticated weapons, and replenish its munitions stocks.

On April 13, Iran carried out a massive and unprecedented attack on Israel. The regime launched over 300 missiles and drones from Iranian soil at Israel, the first time Iran has struck at Israel directly from its own territory. The United States must stand with our ally as it acts to defend itself, work with Israel to deter further attacks, and prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

AIPAC supports pro-Israel Democrats and Republicans, ensuring that good policy is also good politics. AIPAC endorsed 365 candidates in 2022. 98% of AIPAC-endorsed candidates won their general election. In 2022, AIPAC PAC was dollar-for-dollar the largest contributor to candidates in American politics.

The United Nations has long had a glaring anti-Israel bias, advancing biased and one-sided efforts to isolate and delegitimize the Jewish state. This anti-Israel prejudice has escalated dramatically since Hamas’ October 7 attack. Across U.N. agencies, officials have failed to uphold the body’s charter of neutrality and impartiality.

Every durable peace agreement between Israel and its Arab neighbors has been the result of direct negotiations between the parties. American recognition of a Palestinian state at this moment — in the wake of the October 7 massacre — would reward terror and disincentivize negotiations while achieving nothing tangible for ordinary Palestinians. The path to Israeli-Palestinian peace must start with removing Hamas from power and the emergence of a reformed and revamped Palestinian Authority committed to peace.

On October 7, Hamas broke its ceasefire with Israel and committed the most horrific terror attack in Israel’s history. More than 1,200 Israelis were massacred by a terrorist group openly committed to killing all Jews. Hamas kidnapped more than 240 people. Israel is responding to ensure Hamas can never carry out such an attack ever again.

While Hamas steals humanitarian aid and uses innocent Palestinians as human shields to protect its missiles, Israel uses its missiles to protect its families. Every innocent civilian life lost is a tragedy, and Israel works to minimize such deaths; despicably, Hamas intentionally takes actions to maximize Palestinian and Israeli civilian casualties.
