Today, Hamas terrorists invaded Israel in an unprovoked invasion and assault that has left scores of Israeli men, women, and children dead and wounded. In addition, reports have indicated that terrorists have kidnapped Israelis and taken them into Gaza.

The nightmare unfolding across Israel is unprecedented.

The Iranian-backed terrorists burst through the security perimeter and began a rampage across Israeli communities, going door to door killing and injuring innocent Israelis. Attacks from Hamas and Islamic Jihad have come from the ground, sea, and air. Thousands of rockets have been fired at Israeli cities across the country – including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

This ignominious attack on Israel must be met with world condemnation and support for the Jewish state as it defends itself.  

No country would tolerate its citizens being under constant assault from terror groups. As Israel prepares to undertake a sustained military campaign to protect its citizens from further attacks, America must stand by our ally throughout this operation as it exercises its sovereign rights to self-defense.
