The Promise of Israel
Confessions of an Unabashed Zionist

featuring

Dr. Daniel Gordis
Author, The Promise of Israel
Koret Distinguished Fellow & Senior Vice President, Shalem Center (Jerusalem)

As one of Israel’s most outspoken scholars and engaging speakers, Dr. Daniel Gordis has been leading the charge against the debate of Israel’s legitimacy.

In his latest book, The Promise of Israel, Gordis argues that what Israel’s critics in the West really object to about the Jewish state is the fact that Israel is a country consciously devoted to the future of the Jewish people. The book has received early critical acclaim from Natan Sharansky, Yehuda Avner, and Joseph Telushkin, who noted:

“Bull’s-eye! Everybody knows how much Israel matters to committed Jews. But in this incredibly original and consistently provocative presentation, Daniel Gordis makes the case why Israel should and must matter to Jews and non-Jews alike, and to every country that aspires to prosperity and even more importantly, to freedom.”

Dr. Daniel Gordis writes a column, “A Dose of Nuance,” for the Jerusalem Post and is a regular contributor to the New York Times.

The pro-Israel community is invited to attend; there is no minimum gift to AIPAC required to attend. This event is strictly off the record and closed to the press.
