After months of negotiation between Israel and Turkey, Israel has agreed to allow Turkish trucks to bring building materials into Gaza to construct a hospital. Turkey sees Israel’s agreement as a hint of its willingness to patch up the countries’ bruised relations following the Mavi Marmara incident in May 2010, when the IDF boarded a Turkish flotilla carrying massive amounts of weapons to the Gaza Strip. One of Turkey’s conditions for reconciliation is Israel lifting the blockade on the Gaza Strip.
