The U.S.-Israel Free Trade Zone Agreement marks the first Free Trade Agreement (FTA) signed between the United States and any nation. The agreement, which doubles U.S.-Israel trade, calls for the gradual elimination of tariffs on Israeli exports to the United States. Both chambers of Congress overwhelmingly approved the FTA.
